Melania Trump first met Donald Trump in 1998 at a nightclub in New York City during Fashion Week. Despite Trump being on a date with another woman, he asked Melania for her number, but she declined, instead requesting his. A few days later, she called him, and they went on their first date at his Seven Springs home.
In her memoir, Melania shared that she was captivated by Trump’s charm and easygoing nature. She also mentioned being impressed by his vitality and energy when he gave her all his contact numbers. They got engaged at the 2004 Met Gala, married in 2005, and had their son Barron in 2006.
Melania later emphasized her independence, saying, “I have my own thoughts, I have my own ‘yes’ and ‘no.'”
