These Areas Are Under Immediate Threat Amid Pacific Palisades Fire

A fast-moving wildfire in Pacific Palisades has prompted a state of emergency and mandatory evacuations. The fire, which began on January 7, 2025, has burned over 1,260 acres and is uncontained, fueled by winds up to 60 mph. Governor Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency, and evacuation orders have been issued for 15 areas in Los Angeles.

Evacuees can go to the Westwood Recreation Center for shelter. Several main roads are closed due to the fire. Firefighters are working tirelessly to contain the blaze, with local volunteers, including actor Steve Guttenberg, helping with evacuations and clearing roads. Authorities urge residents to follow evacuation orders and stay updated on the situation.
