Aasha, a 9-month-old tiger, was found in poor condition by Vicky Keahey, founder of Texas’ In-Sync Exotics Wildlife Rescue. She weighed only 30 pounds, the typical weight of a 3-month-old cub, and showed severe signs of malnutrition and a skin infection called ringworm.
It was discovered that Aasha had been kept in a traveling circus, where she was confined in a cage with a larger animal, preventing her from eating. Vicky took her in, providing the proper care she needed. Within weeks of treatment, Aasha began to show signs of recovery, with fur starting to grow back.
After eight months of care, Aasha fully recovered and was ready to interact with other tigers. She’s now unrecognizable from the sick cub she once was.
