My child broke my sister-in-law’s TV screen, and I was willing to cover the cost—until she insisted on a newer, upgraded model

When my son accidentally broke my sister-in-law Dora’s TV, I offered to replace it with the same model, but she demanded a $2,500 upgrade. I refused, and she threatened to sue. In court, I presented fair options to replace the TV, but Dora insisted on more.

The judge ruled in my favor, requiring me to pay only a small portion of the repair costs. Karma struck when Dora’s new upgraded TV was later broken by her son, and she had to replace it herself. Later, her son apologized, and I realized that standing up for what’s right, even against family, was worth it.
