Amelia wanted to meet her newborn grandson, but when her son Mark couldn’t pick her up, she decided to walk to his house. It took her hours with her walker, but when she arrived, Mark banned her from entering, telling her it wasn’t a good time.
Amelia was heartbroken, especially since Mark had been pulling away ever since marrying Camilla, who came from a wealthy family. Despite the physical toll, Amelia left a bag of old toys for Mark and started the long walk back home. Luckily, a neighbor gave her a ride, but her legs swelled up, and she had to rest on the couch.
Later, Mark realized his mistake after finding the bag. Overcome with guilt, he apologized to his wife, then drove to his mother’s house. He found her resting after the walk and helped her with her swollen legs. They talked, and Mark admitted he had distanced himself due to feeling ashamed of his poor background. Amelia forgave him, and they spent the night together.
The next day, Mark invited Amelia to meet his son, and Camilla apologized as well. Mark later asked Amelia to move in with them so she wouldn’t be alone.
