Janitor Purchases Old Doll at Flea Market, Gives it to Child, and Hears Mysterious Cracking Noise

A poor janitor, Pauline, buys a doll at a flea market for her daughter, Eve, as a birthday gift. When she gives it to Eve, she hears a strange crackling sound and discovers a hidden note that reads, “Happy Birthday, Mommy.”

Curious, Pauline returns to the market and learns the doll belonged to a woman, Miriam, whose daughter had passed away. The doll was a gift from her late daughter, and selling it helped her cope with her grief. Touched by each other’s stories, Pauline and Miriam become friends. Miriam later gifts Pauline $3,000, helping her and Eve, and the two women find healing through their friendship.

Lesson: Helping others can bring healing and unexpected blessings.
