Every Saturday, I would feed the pigeons, until one day, one of them delivered a letter with the message “Follow Me”

Sylvia found more peace with the pigeons at the park than with her husband, Simon, at home. Feeding the birds was the only time she felt needed, but her routine changed when a trained pigeon brought her a note.

That Saturday morning began as usual—quiet and peaceful—until Simon’s complaints shattered the calm. After serving him breakfast, Sylvia left for the park, where sunlight, fresh air, and her feathered friends brought her solace.

At the bakery, Mr. Collins greeted her warmly, and she noticed a shy young man, Philip, helping with deliveries. Later, while feeding pigeons, a peculiar bird with a note caught her attention. The message, “Follow me,” led Sylvia to Philip, who had trained the bird, Keely.

Philip’s sincerity and offer to teach her bird training sparked something in Sylvia. For the first time in years, she felt seen. Returning home, Simon’s angry outburst no longer fazed her. Sylvia quietly left her wedding ring behind, stepped outside, and embraced her freedom.

She was finally ready to start a new chapter.
