Wendy, a lonely pensioner, has spent her life rescuing shelter cats. When she adopts a new cat named Lucky, she soon notices something strange: Lucky starts bringing home dollar bills. Initially confused, Wendy realizes the cat is being used by someone to secretly donate money to her.
After investigating, she discovers that Dr. Perry, the local vet, has been behind the donations, wanting to help Wendy, who had always refused his offers of assistance.
Wendy eventually accepts his help, and Dr. Perry creates a fundraiser for her to care for the cats. He also opens a shelter in Wendy’s honor after she passes away, fulfilling her dream of helping more animals in the city.
The story teaches us not to be too proud to accept help and the importance of adopting shelter animals.
