In one day, Adele loses her job, her home, and her father. After his death, her sister Synthia inherits the house, leaving Adele with only an apiary. She’s forced to live in a barn, but Adele refuses to give up. Determined to honor her father’s legacy, she begins learning beekeeping from Greg, a local beekeeper.
Things take a turn when a fire threatens the apiary, but with the help of neighbors, they manage to save the hives. While harvesting honey, Adele finds a hidden will from her father, revealing that the house, land, and apiary were always meant to be hers.
Confronting Synthia, Adele asserts her claim to the property and demands they share it. Synthia reluctantly agrees. Over time, Adele begins to rebuild her life, selling honey and growing closer to Greg, while Synthia maintains the house. Together, they find a way to coexist, and Adele finally makes the place her own.
