After two months caring for my sick father, I returned home, eager for rest. But when I walked in, something felt off. A strange sweet scent filled the air, and before I could process it, a young woman walked in with a key, acting like she belonged. She claimed Michael, my husband, gave her the key.
Confused and angry, I discovered she was unaware of my existence, and Michael had lied to her, saying he was single. The woman left after realizing the truth, and I confronted Michael. He revealed his younger brother, Jason, had been staying in our home and gave the woman the key. Jason had been lying and using our apartment, while I was away.
I decided to teach him a lesson. After reporting him for fraud and an alleged break-in, Michael and I put him in his place, banning him from our home and changing the locks.
