The 5’2″ superstar was recently spotted heading to the El Capitan Entertainment Center to film her fifteenth appearance on the popular talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live! The 53-year-old actress and producer, known for her role in the hit musical Suffs, appeared radiant and confident as she made her entrance.
Lately, there’s been a surge of speculation that Melissa might be the latest celebrity experimenting with Ozempic.
Even Barbra Streisand has chimed in on Melissa’s striking transformation. While Melissa hasn’t directly addressed the rumors, she’s expressed appreciation for the attention.
Back in 2016, Melissa opened up about her own weight loss journey. At one point, she lost 70 pounds by sticking to an all-liquid diet for four months while filming Gilmore Girls. Reflecting on that time, she told People in 2011: “I’d never do that again. I felt starved and half-crazy most of the time.”
For her latest appearance, Melissa chose a chic black dress adorned with rosettes at the sleeves and bust, paired with patent leather slingback heels. She added a playful touch to the outfit with a $498 Kate Spade Slice 3D Pizza Box Top-handle Bag, reflecting her signature quirky style.
Hairstylist Mark Townsend styled her hair into a voluminous Brigitte Bardot-inspired bouffant, while makeup artist Afton Williams gave her a flawless glam look.
Since Jimmy Kimmel is off for the summer, guest host Martin Short took the reins, delighting the audience by hosting the show entirely in character as Jiminy Glick, his over-the-top Hollywood reporter persona.
Melissa dove right into the comedy, joking about a fictional one-night stand with Jiminy years ago, teasing, “I just thought you needed clean towels.”
True to character, Jiminy didn’t hold back. He humorously dry-humped Melissa twice and made several outrageous gestures, like pretending to grab her breasts or trying to kiss her. Always quick with a comeback, Melissa quipped, “How have you not just been sued? I can smell the lawsuit.”
Throughout the interview, Jiminy accused Melissa of hilarious absurdities—like having his secret love child named Trenton, refusing to tip waiters, and believing the Earth is flat. Melissa kept the banter going, playfully replying, “I couldn’t feel it, so I’m not sure. I thought maybe it was inverted, but I didn’t get a clear visual.”
Jiminy also asked her about her mysterious role in Only Murders in the Building, the hit Hulu series now entering its fourth season.
Melissa teased a bit of on-set tension, saying, “Almost everybody was great,” while giving Martin Short a pointed look.
Season four will center on the murder of Sazz Pataki—played by Jane Lynch—who was Charles-Haden Savage’s stunt double, along with a Hollywood movie adaptation of the trio’s famous podcast.
The new season features an all-star cast, including Selena Gomez, Meryl Streep, Eugene Levy, Eva Longoria, Zach Galifianakis, Molly Shannon, Kumail Nanjiani, Richard Kind, Michael Cyril Creighton, and Da’Vine Joy Randolph. It’s shaping up to be another thrilling installment of the beloved series.
