My stepmother chose to wear my late mother’s wedding gown when she married my dad—even though it was originally meant for my own wedding

When Summer’s stepmom, Lisa, steals the wedding dress her late mother left for her, Summer is furious. Betrayed by the one person who should protect her, she plots her revenge.

Summer’s mom passed away when she was thirteen, leaving behind her wedding dress as a keepsake. Summer treasured it, but when her dad married Lisa, things began to change. Lisa started erasing traces of Summer’s mother from their home and even planned to wear the dress for her wedding.

One evening, Summer catches Lisa twirling in her mother’s dress, infuriating her. Lisa dismisses it, claiming it’s a beautiful tribute to her mom. When Summer tries to protest, her dad sides with Lisa, leaving Summer feeling abandoned.

Determined to make Lisa pay, Summer spends the next few days weakening a cheap replica of the dress, soaking and drying it repeatedly until the fabric is brittle. On the morning of the wedding, Lisa walks down the aisle, unaware that her dress is about to fall apart.

As Lisa reaches the altar, the dress begins to tear. Guests gasp as the fabric rips, beads fall, and the dress unravels. Summer steps forward, revealing that it wasn’t her mother’s dress at all. “I wouldn’t trust you with something that precious,” she says, leaving Lisa humiliated.

Afterward, Summer confronts her dad, who is angry but admits his guilt in letting Lisa take the dress. Their wedding happens in silence at a courthouse, and Summer keeps her mother’s dress safe, waiting for the day she’ll wear it herself.
