Diane Salinger, 62, had faced many hardships, including losing her husband and home, but she always bounced back. She opened a grocery store in a small Michigan town, where she was a good tenant to her landlord, Chris Turkle. However, when Diane was $120 short on rent, Chris harshly demanded she leave.
Later, Chris attended a family dinner at his sister Vanessa’s house, where he was surprised to find Diane there, chatting comfortably with his nephew. Diane revealed she had been quietly helping Vanessa, who had fallen on hard times. Chris, ashamed, apologized and offered Diane a discount on her rent. He realized his mistake and decided to follow Diane’s example, offering support to others in need.
