Just as I was about to finish my shift, a furious woman stormed into our pizza shop, demanding to speak with the manager. Grandma, calm as ever, greeted her and patiently listened to her complaint about receiving the wrong pizza. The woman raged, threatening to have us fired, but Grandma remained unfazed.
When the woman opened the box, Grandma gently pointed out that it wasn’t our pizza—it was from the shop across the street. The woman froze, realizing her mistake. Without another word, she grabbed the box and rushed out, her face crimson with embarrassment.
The shop erupted in laughter, and even the rival pizza shop staff, who’d witnessed the scene, joined in. The woman tried to avoid confronting them but was called out by their manager for stealing the pizza. As she hurried away, Grandma, with a smile, reminded me, “It’s not about what happens, but how you handle it.” And today, karma had been served hot.
