When my stepdad Jeff gave Mom toilet paper as a “special gift” for her birthday, we’d had enough of his disrespect. My siblings and I hatched a plan.
We took him out for a spicy dinner at his favorite restaurant, knowing he’d insist on proving his “manliness” by eating the hottest dishes. Meanwhile, Mom and my sister moved all her belongings—and every roll of toilet paper—out of the house.
When Jeff got home, the house was empty, and the spicy food hit. Stuck in the bathroom with no toilet paper, he realized Mom was gone for good.
On his birthday, we sent him a pack of toilet paper with a note: “For a real man.” Mom is now free and thriving, and we couldn’t be happier.
